Union Financial Aid Opportunities
General Information. Application form should be sent to the Financial Aid Office. Award decisions will be made and award letters sent to recipient on a rolling basis as soon as required data is received and evaluated. Awards are made subject to funds availability.
- Academic Grants. Awarded to entering lay students desiring to obtain the degree of Master of Arts in Theology or Master of Theological Studies. Total amount awarded for two years of tuition costs is $12,000. Applications accepted after July 1, 2010 and subject to financial need. View conditions
- Ministerial Grants Awarded to entering lay students desiring to obtain the degree of Master of Divinity or Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies. - Doctoral Grants. Awarded to students pursuing the degree of Doctor of Ministry in Christian Spirituality. Total amount awarded not to exceed $3,000 and subject to demonstrated annual financial need. Applications accepted after July 1, 2010. View conditions
- Catholic Institutional Grants. Awarded to lay students (initial and returning) in degree (excluding doctoral) or certificate programs who are paid or volunteer staff of recognized Roman Catholic institutions. Award of $300/credit for up to 6 credits. View conditions
- School Work Service Programs (opportunities for students to obtain tuition remission by working in one of the Union's staff offices. Not available for Doctoral programs. Contact the Dean of Students for more information
Federal Aid Programs
- Federal Direct Loan Program is now the principal federal program that provides loan assistance for graduate students. It includes the Stafford and Graduate Plus loans previously offered through private lenders but now offered only through the US Department of Education. These loans are governed by federal regulations and are implemented by compliant internal regulations. View details and temporary procedures
- Other programs such as Veteran Benefits, Americorps, etc. are also accepted.
